Christmas Emergence | Christmas Acrylic Print - French Cleat Hanging

Leaping straight from the pages of my manuscript, Christmas Emergence invites you into a hidden festive realm.

This original, hand-drawn whimsical surrealist illustration captures a female elf riding her favourite shaggy reindeer. Together, they emerge from a thicket known only to special beings, setting out on a critical midnight run to harvest rare ghost fruit, wild cherries and winter nuts for their hidden village’s Christmas feast at the break of dawn.

I wanted to explore the quiet side of the festive season: the little-heard-of beings of a magical realm that could be right under our noses. Imagined through a folkloric lens, this surrealist drawing offers a glimpse into their hidden world.
